Grimoire-

Grimoire-

a leather bound book

laced together

of secrecy and such

the breath of a raven

the ghost of a feather

beneath a shadow who smells

of desire.

Grimoire-

a book of secrets

passed from one generation

to the next-

stepped in ones history

a landscape of

time not forgotten

words whispered quietly

among the chosen.

Sometimes secrets are better

left quietly whispered into

the darkness part of the night

under the fullest moon

shattering secrets

casting spells

in the pale yellow lime

moonlight.

flowers flourish despite the rain…

March Madness,
with a whim and a flurry,
Mother Nature
sings her call.

She calls out to the flowers,
to begin to bud.
She echoes out to the plants,
to begin to grow.

under her ever watchful eyes,
the dance of spring begins with a twirl,
a wave, a recollection of
warm and simple wind.

slowly in our daze of
sheer amazement
winter concaves, collapses, makes room,
for Spring to begin.

and flowers, they flourish
despite the rain,
they refuse to fight the water
instead they drink in the tears
of the Earth- they swallow her secrets
her teardrops of rain.

it makes them
the plants bloated and drunken,
as if by the most scared of wine.

Today

Today my words don’t come out.

Today silence is all I am about.

My thoughts may scream or

sometimes even shout…

but just for Today that’s not what I am about.

Cold and chilled to the bone.

Icy stone reflections upon

a broken ridged frozen ground-

and when the snow comes softly-

when the snow comes softly

when the snow comes slowly

it never makes a sound.

Collecting itself into white velvet icy tapestry,

beneath its dusty fragile-ness that is a strength that lasts.

It tears us through months of Winter

and winds that howl

winds that blast.

But no more words do I have here-

there is nothing left to say

except tread lightly and admire the silence

of fallen snow

which stole my words Today.

An altar of belief:

CAM00261

An altar by belief,
stands alone in the north west corner,
of my bedroom.
it is the place onto which,
i allow my beliefs to sit.

every once in a while,
i linger there
lighting three candles,
and say my prayers,
with my heart-
not my lips.

my lips do not seem fit.
to express what my heart
longs and shouts out for;
justice, a good life, an omen
or a sign, to allow
me to practice,

the fine art of allowance and
of course self-acceptance.

magical meditations, covered in mystery.
set the stage for most of human
history.

i have an altar of belief which sits,
upon my north-west corner.
Even if my Gods and Goddesses,
are ancient fairy tales to you…

please respect my beliefs,
as I try to respect yours.
if more folks do not try;
to sway and convert the masses,

think of all the less holy wars,
that would be raging
across many a foreign land.

all it takes is a small slit opening,
into your heart,
and some peace and understanding;
for those who see the world much
differently than you do.

blessings-tidings-mote it be,
hence tied by three.

Soul-compass

To believe

in somethings in which others,

do not-takes Faith, Courage & Hope.

To believe

in the abstract, in the philosophical notions,

of Truth, Charity, Virtue and pure agape Love-

for man, women, child or beast-

To have this forlorn belief that

your actions really do matter.

To have the certainty,

that above all else

you must honor others

as much as you honor yourself–

in some cases, perhaps, even more.

To live with the knowledge,

that you are more than:

a mere breathing machine,

taking up space & air.

But instead something greater,

a part of the cosmos,

a part of Humanity,

a part of shared History.

That whether you accept it or not,

you are part of the

endless sea from here to eternity.

You are something greater,

someone with a beating heart,

and a wondrous, wandering Soul.

If you trust your instincts, your heartbeats,

your wandering Soul,

it will lead the way-

it will show you the compassion

along a compass-

of the right or wrong way,

in which to go.

endurance

Running up that big hill,

Running out of breath,

I have no endurance-no strength left.

Running up the wall,

Running up the street,

Running all sideways,

the stars beneath my feet.

a troubled mind

tries to find the time

to create a story-

or weave a rhyme.

a writers mind,

always running-no where to go,

just running on steam,

among broken dreams.

Running up that hill,

Running towards free-will,

Running towards a notion or two,

or three.

Finding a moment,

covered in honesty reaching for,

glee.

Poetry always reminds me,

to find myself,

I must forget all else-

letting the raw ideas flow-

right through me,

like one in a trance.

Riddles, sphinx, pyramids

Ancient stuff, it is all a mystery-

entirely over my head-

way beyond me.

But Poetry, my Muse

she whispers to me in my left ear, lightly,

she says just that I should run-

run freely until I reach the Sun.

Running up the wall,

Running up the street,

Running all sideways,

the stars beneath my feet.

Running up that big hill,

Running out of breath,

I have no endurance-no strength left.

least there be sharks….

Swimming with the fishes.

Swimming with the fishes, all beauty, and joy-

the heart of Asia

belongs to the Koi. (photo shown below was find in a Google image search-i do not hold the rights, but cheers to the photographer, its amazing!)

Swimming with the fishes, peace and joy. It’s like they are flying in a sky filled of beauty deep blue water. Their lives must be so graceful. So blessed. To be simply swimming with the fishes, forgetting all else. Savoring the sea or the pond as the case might be. Dreaming the dreams of creatures in the sea. To be blissful to be aware of natures truth and beauty. To reproduce without care nor worry. To joyfully join in the currents of peaceful waves, to watch the rock glow and shine beneath you as you sleep with eyes wide open, eight feet deep,to swim and swim and dream again-to breathe underwater, to fall through the water, swimming with the fishes, all beauty all joy. The heart of Asia belongs to the subtle, yet joyous Koi.
