This review is from: dear Georgia. mother is a tornado: poems (Kindle Edition)
This is a fairly short collection, yet it leaves the reader wanting more.Usually I do not buy very short e-books, but both her cover art and her title really impressed me. Fortunately,I could not ignore the little voices in my head saying please and why not? Also it is economically priced at just 99 cents. Nothing however, could prepare me for the Slam of her poetry or the Strength in her imagery. From the very first poem I was hooked. This first poem describes: “spinning throat exposed & on fire. She sounds like a mother but mother can’t be this chaos,….” The vivid imagery of a fire breathing out of control Mother, a Mother of chaos..Wow. And from there on the poems just got better and better.
Stacy Michelle is a very talented writer. I really look forward to checking out her blog on […] and to start following her blog myself-just to see more work, by this powerful poetess. Stacy’s blog can be found here: http://thelanguagewespeak.wordpress.com
